Olivi- Le Buche winery inaugurates the 2023 event season on this January with participation in the 8th edition of what is a reference event for the public and the wine press: Wine & Siena – Masterpieces of taste.
Organized by The Wine Hunter, Helmuth Köcher, patron of the Merano Wine Festival, the event brings together and hosts the best selection of producers from all over the country and beyond.

After a great 2022 that has given us fantastic satisfaction, we are starting the new year with an event that we hold dear” “in Siena we brought our award-winning wines for tasting, we are really proud of this opportunity. We were happy to let discover our philosophy to the Wine&Siena public”

There were about 600 wine labels selected by The Wine Hunter in the journey of taste at Santa Maria della Scala. And together, excellent gastronomy, around 60 products including chocolates, cheeses, oil, meats and cold cuts, beer, cold cuts, pasta, rice, cereals, grappa and liqueurs, beer and more from Campania to South Tyrol passing through Tuscany, the Marches , Abruzzo.
Siena confirmed itself as the location for the first major wine event of the year in Italy thanks to the event that returned to the city, as per tradition, to start the wine year and kick off a whole year of appointments signed The WineHunter.

The 8th edition of Wine&Siena was held again in the prestigious halls of Santa Maria della Scala. The event, wanted by the Patron of Merano WineFestival Helmuth Köcher and the president of Confcommercio Siena Stefano Bernardini, immersed producers and visitors in Siena where the cultural heritage marries the best wine and food productions awarded by The WineHunter Award. Valuable collaborations with the Chamber of Commerce of Arezzo Siena, the Municipality of Siena, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena. The event also has the patronage of the Tuscany Region. A journey through unique locations such as the Palazzo Comunale, the Grand Hotel Continental Siena – Starhotels Collezione and the Santa Maria della Scala

The Sunday was really rich for us: an interview of Canale3 tv and a special tasting with the Wine Hunter patron, Helmuth Kocher
He asked to have a special tasting with our Verdicchio selection. And how could we say no?! Helmuth tasted our selection of I Puri 2020 100% Verdicchio, the late harvest Vendemmia Tardiva 100% Verdicchio and our blend verdicchio-sauvignon blanc and viognier Orhora 2020.
Not to brag, but it was a success!

After these three days, more excited than ever, we are ready to think about the next big event: Vinitaly 2023.
And that’s not all: we are working and thinking about sending the new samples for the Merano WineHunter 2023, for the events of the Orcia DOC consortium and for the new tourist season.
