Our Chianti Superiore is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. The grapes are hand-picked in small boxes then immediately transported to the cellar where they undergo a strict selection, both of the bunches and of the single grapes, on two conveyors. The Sangiovese and the Merlot varieties are vinified separately in the cellar.

Both undergo a maceration of about 25-30 days in contact with the skins. The wines are then aged in oak for about 12 months, 2500-liters barrels for the Sangiovese and barriques for the Merlot.

The final blend is made at the end of this ageing period using only the better barrels. After the blend some extra months in big barrel. The resulting wine has a lively, ruby color, intense perfumes, harmonious taste and soft and velvet tannins.
Our Chianti Superiore is aged in bottle for about 5 months
